If you got into trading just to make a load of money, well, on you go, but it’s a shame to keep that objective as the top priority when the possibilities are so much more. Giving is a two way street; you have a way to lengthen your life and someone else's.
That’s a pretty good trade off.
How do I know what charity to give to? What cause is best?
I don’t. No one knows.
I do know that my social conditioning and evolutionary baggage makes it unlikely that I will be able to make the correct decision.

If you haven't started giving to charity yet and would like to do some of your own research, the site below is a good starting point:

Also, William MacAskill’s talks are inspiring and his ideas on how to best give to charity are great.

Perhaps all you can afford at the moment is a few hours of your week to help a local charity or an hour spreading good ideas and messages of reassurance in your favourite Reddit forum.
Something is a lightyear better than nothing.
And for trading....as soon as it becomes about more than just money in your bank account it becomes a lot easier to make the correct decisions and remain profitable.
